    OUR JOURNEY BEGINS

    At the age of 17, a young Ryan Africa, who needed a job for pocket money, worked at a well-established electrical company as an assistant - passing tools to electricians and cleaning up sites.

  • EUREKA MOMENT

    His curiosity and determination to succeed lit a spark - and there was instant electricity.

  • BEYOND DREAMS

    Little did he know that this would one day turn on new lights in just a few short years, he would later become the managing director of Electraholic - an electrical service which top companies now prefer to contract.

  • BACKGROUND

    Growing up in Rocklands, Ryan completed his course locally. Thereafter, he worked as an electrical assistant and quickly climbed the ranks from an assistant, single-phase tester, and then applied for his own trade license at the ECA.

  • WORK ETHIC PAR NONE

    Ryan’s attention to detail, competitive nature and hunger to learn made him stand out. His track record showed seamless work, tidy installations, and problem solving skills.

  • LEAP OF FAITH

    While every position is replaceable, he believed he wasn't, and needed to give himself credit for his hard work. After receiving his trade certificate, Ryan packed up his toolbox and his skills, and started Electraholic in May 2019.

  • TRADE-TESTED ARTISANS

    With two electrical assistants, an administrator, and Ryan at its helm, the B-BBEEE Level One Electrical company specialises in industrial, commercial, and residential services, as well as maintenance, floodlighting, generator and inverter installations. Ryan has up to now ensured customer satisfaction, leaving the current running through neat and SANS 10142-1 approved installations.

  • SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE

    As Ryan climbed the corporate ladder, he realised his privilege as an artisan, and still lends a helping hand to those who need it. As part of giving back, the young company helped an underprivileged boy reach his dreams by donating a pair of soccer boots.
